About us
Founded in 1965, Trioworld – former Trioplast – is a Swedish industy group with more than 1,400 employees and is one of Europe’s leading players in innovative packaging solutions based on polyethylene film.
Comprising five divisions (stretch film, industrial film, healthcare film, carrier bags and consumer packaging), the group operates production plants in Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Great Britain and France and sells its products on the world market.
In 1999, Trioworld acquired a factory in France that was founded in 1965 and is dedicated to the recycling, production and marketing of agricultural plastic films for the conservation of fodder (silage cover films and bale wrap). Located at Ombrée d’Anjou in the Maine-et-Loire department, this production site employs 100 people and achieved a turnover of EUR 50 million in 2020.
In 2021, Trioplast became Trioworld. We have adapted an ambitious plan to accelerate the development of innovation by focusing on the circularity of plastics.

Sensitive to environmental issues, a true strategic axis of development, Trioworld has already picked up several accreditations for its commitment to responsible agriculture. Among them, the company is EUCERPLAST certified, guaranteeing 94% recycled used plastics in its pellets, the “MORE 2021” label promotes the integration of recycled plastics in the production of its silage films, the Blue Angel label, which requires a minimum of 80% use of post-consumer recycled (PCR) waste pellets in our products, and lastly, Recyclass certification, which emphasises the traceability of recycled plastics within a process and the verification of a given percentage of recycled plastic contained in the products.
Furthermore, Trioworld’s standards go further, as the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of each of its products is measured, monitored and available for every silage cover sold. The company was assisted in carrying out this audit and communicating the results by an independent body.
